The Rotapower 450 is based on the 530cc series modular engines and will be configurable with 1, 2, 3, 4, 6 or 9 rotors. This Rotapower rotary engine series is based on the Outboard Marine Corporation (OMC) liquid cooled design that the Company acquired in the late 1980s. Since then the design has been further refined to improve durability, cooling, and output power range to address a very wide spectrum of requirements while maintaining very low production and maintenance cost. This engine is ready for high volume production as it is, but our analysis of the design indicates we can reduce the thickness of the rotor and thereby reduce the displacement of the rotor to 450cc without any significant change in performance. This newly resized engine is being considered for volume production and is likely to be the first Rotapower engine widely available. We also own the OMC air-cooled 530cc design and are contemplating putting this engine into production as well.
